Boy saves mom with Facetime
Elijah Riley saved his mother by using an iPad to call his grandparents when she went into a diabetic episode.

Elijah Riley saved his mother's life by using an iPad to call his grandparents when she went into a diabetic episode.

Kalah Riley was having a seizure Friday morning, and when Elijah couldn't find the iPhone to call 9-1-1, he picked up the iPad to Facetime with his grandfather in Florida.

"You press the green Facetime button," Elijah said, "and you press this button."

His grandfather called 9-1-1 and sent paramedics to the family's Valparaiso home.

"I think he did a phenomenal job," grandpa Joe Hernandez said. "It's awesome will children are taught how to respond in an emergency, and we really can see their response is pretty incredible."

Kalah is pregnant with her fourth child.

"He definitely is my hero," she said. "And he knows it!"

"I saved mommy's whole life," Elijah said. "Yeah, I was a hero. A GI Joe hero."
