CHICAGO (WLS) -- The "PlayStreets" program kicked off Friday afternoon at Morrill Elementary in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

The program closes off streets to traffic giving kids a chance to play games, play in bounce houses and a whole lot more. PlayStreets events are free for kids and families.

The Chicago Department of Public Health is partnering with 22 groups for the events.

There are 150 events planned throughout the summer in 28 neighborhoods.
