The Social Security Administration released the 10 most popular baby names for 2014, with 19,144 newborn boys being named Noah, and 20,799 of all newborn girls being named Emma.

Both of the names have remained strong throughout the years, with Emma appearing on the top 5 list for girls each year since 2002, and Noah on the top 5 boys list each year since 2011.

2014 was also a big year for Charlotte, which cracked the top 10 girl's list for the first time ever. That's quite the jump from 2000, where Charlotte wasn't even in the top 250 list for girls names. We'll have to see how the name does in 2015, considering how Prince William and Kate Middleton named their newborn daughter Charlotte.

Liam has also taken quite the leap in baby name popularity. Back in 2000, Liam wasn't even in the top 100 of boys names. But in 2014, it surged to the second spot on the list.
