BRISTOL, Ill. (WLS) -- Tammy Rosenwinkel, of Bristol, Ill., had just finished grocery shopping when she used the Illinois Lottery self-service machine to play Mega Millions.

"Every week I buy one ticket with 10 Quick Picks on it, but I never expected to win a big prize!" the lucky Bristol resident said when her ticket matched the first five numbers - 20 - 25 - 55 - 62 - 74 - (07) - to win $1 million in the December 29 drawing.

Rosenwinkel, 55, has lived in Bristol for 34 years. She is married with three children and two grandchildren. She and her husband plan to invest the windfall in their grain farm.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jewel Osco, 3795 Orchard Road in Oswego. Jewel Osco received a bonus of $10,000, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.

More than 59,000 Illinoisans won prizes ranging from $1 to $1,500 in that Mega Millions drawing. The Mega Millions drawings take place Tuesday and Friday nights at 10:00 p.m.
