CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's street food scene is about to undergo a major overhaul. Thursday morning, the City Council voted to offer food cart licenses.

Those food carts are like the ones you see on the streets of Manhattan.

An estimated 1,500 unlicensed cart owners already work Chicago streets.

The city's expected to make at least $2 million dollars a year off the new sales tax revenues.
