CHICAGO (WLS) -- The holiday season is a time of parties and excess. One of the biggest mistakes people make during the holidays is eating too much unhealthy food. But there are some ways to curb your appetite before your next Christmas party. Founder of Hispanic Food Communications, Inc., Sylvia Klinger, joined ABC 7 to show of some ideas pre-partying like a pro.
Tuna Avocado Spread
1 (6 oz.) can solid white Albacore tuna in water
1 small avocado
1 small tomato, sliced or 2 to 3 thin cucumber or cantaloupe, slices
4 slices of whole grain bread
In a small bowl, mix the tuna with the avocado. Divide the mixture between 2 slices of bread.
Top with two tomato slices.
Yield: 2 sandwiches null
