Mole de Mayo Festival returns to Pilsen
Mexican food and culture will be on full display at the 8th Annual Mole de Mayo Festival.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mexican food and culture will be on full display at the 8th Annual Mole de Mayo Festival on May 26-28, 2017. Mole is a traditional Mexican sauce typically made with chili peppers, spices, nuts, chocolate, and other seasonings. At the Mole de Mayo Festival, chefs will put their best recipes to the test. Awards will be distributed for the best mole and people's choice. Along with all of the food you can eat, there will also be live music, luche libre performances, artisans, traditional Azteca dancing, and more! Executive Director of the Eighteenth Street Development Corporation, Alex Esparza, and one of the chefs competing at the Mole de Mayo Festival visited the ABC 7 State Street Studios to give a taste of the festival to come.
