Recipe: Pica Pau
Ingredients:
2 pounds flank/rump steak
4-5 garlic cloves - minced
2 cups white wine
2 ounces butter
1 bay leaf
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup pickled vegetables
Preparation:
1. Season the steak liberally with salt and pepper.
2. In a frying pan on medium to high heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter
and cook the steak to desired doneness. Remove the steak and
set aside to rest.
3. Meanwhile, add the remaining butter, garlic, bay leaf, and white
wine and saut. until the garlic becomes soft, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Slice the steak, pour over the sauce, top with pickles, and serve
with toothpicks to eat!
