GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Gary, Ind. is considering a ban on saggy pants.

City officials and a newly created youth council will spend the next few months trying to craft a law that would prohibit teens from wearing them.

One Alabama town is a step ahead. Sporting saggy pants or mini-skirts there could soon cost you.

City Council members in the town of Dadeville, Ala. are considering a city dress code that would ban saggy pants and extra short skirts.

The council member pushing for the ordinance says it's all about respect.

If the dress code is passed, violators could be fined up to $100.
