The average price at the gas pump has fallen to just below $3 a gallon, according to Gasbuddy.com.

The website reports that a gallon of regular costs an average of $2.9, which is the lowest since Memorial Day and a 13 cent drop from a week ago.

Analysts predict prices should continue to fall as the summer driving season winds down and the city begins to switch from the more expensive summer-grade gas to the regular grade.

Some predict that prices could fall below $2 this fall.
