HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- Police in northwest Indiana are trying to figure out if two armed robberies are related.

Surveillance video shows an armed robbery Thursday at a Hammond, Ind. tobacco store.

Police think the same people may be responsible for a similar robbery back on July 3.

In both cases, police say the alleged offenders stole cash and cigarettes.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Hammond police.
