PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- Snuggling with mom or dad may be some of the best medicine for premature babies.

Doctors at Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge are touting the benefits of what's called "kangaroo care," when parents hold their baby to their chest, skin to skin.

Doctors say it promotes bonding while enhancing brain development, decreasing stress and anxiety and regulating body temperature.
