CHICAGO (WLS) -- An estimated 1-in-75 women will develop ovarian cancer in their lifetime. Sometimes the symptoms are hard to detect.

Sandra Cord of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition joined ABC7 News This Morning to explain what people need to know to stay healthy.

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The NOCC wants to raise awareness by turning Chicago teal this month.

One of this month's big events is the Teal Lights Celebration and Cruise on Sept. 17, where supporters can see the teal Chicago skyline on the Wendella Sightseeing boat "Lila."

Tickets are $60. They are available for purchase online at http://nocc.kintera.org/2016TealLights.
