CHICAGO (WLS) -- Old Saint Patrick's Church is helping to save lives Sunday as it hosted an American Red Cross blood drive.

The blood drive is an annual event at the West Loop church organized by Mark Buciak in honor of his late father John Buciak.

He says since his first drive in 1996, Old Saint Pat's has helped to collect more than 1,000 pints of blood.
