Red Cross facing blood shortage after lack of donations

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The American Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage and has issued an emergency call for donations Wednesday.

The Red Cross has had about 60,000 fewer donations than needed over the past two months.

American Red Cross CEO Celena Roldan joined ABC7 to talk about the blood shortage.
