Researchers at the University of Miami are using a smoking robot to see what impact e-cigarette aerosol may have on the lung's airways.

LOS ANGELES -- Researchers at the University of Miami are using a smoking robot to see what impact e-cigarette aerosol may have on the lung's airways.

E-cigarettes were designed overseas as a tool to help smokers kick the habit. However, numbers from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention show the devices are increasingly being used by teens.

Little is known about the effect of e-cigarettes and their vapor. Now, scientists are using a smoking robot to help them find out.
