Melissa O'Brien, a Jewel-Osco Community Registered Dietitian, showed us how to make healthy appetizers perfect for your holiday festivities. Each appetizer features Dietz & Watson products that can be found at your local Jewel-Osco.

Ham & Apple Roll Up


Ingredients


lb. of Dietz & Watson Originals ABF Black Forest Ham, sliced


1 jar of Dietz & Watson Stone Ground Mustard


2 Granny Smith apples



Instructions


Slice Dietz & Watson Originals Black Forest Ham into 3 strips


of equal size. Core Granny Smith apples and cut into inch


slices. Wrap Black Forest Ham strips around Granny Smith


apple slices (secure with picks). Serve with Dietz & Watson


Stone Ground Mustard and enjoy.



Turkey Club Skewer


Ingredients


2 slices of multigrain bred


6 slices of Dietz & Watson Herbed Turkey


4 slices of Dietz & Watson Originals NYS Cheddar


4 pieces of Dietz & Watson Gourmet Bacon


2 leaves of lettuce


4 cherry tomatoes



2 oz. of Dietz & Watson Hoagie Dressing



Instructions


Cook 4 pieces of Dietz & Watson Gourmet Bacon in a cold pan on low heat until crisp.


While the bacon is cooking, cut multigrain bread, D&W Originals Cheddar,


D&W Originals Herbed Turkey, and lettuce into 2 inch squares. Cut slices


of Bacon into thirds. On a 10-12 inch skewer, layer bread, lettuce, cheese, bacon and


cherry tomatoes. Repeat the process once more, then top with the last piece of bread.


Once ready, serve with a side of D&W Hoagie Dressing for dipping.



Originals Oven Roasted Turkey Cucumber Roll-ups


Ingredients


1 Cucumber


5 slices of Dietz & Watson Originals Oven Roasted Turkey


3 slices of Diets & Watson Originals Cheddar Cheese


4 oz. of Ranch Veggie Dip



Instructions


With a vegetable peeler or mandolin, peel cucumber into thin sliced strips.


Cut 5 slices of Diets & Wats Originals Turkey breast into thin sliced strips.


Slice Diets & Watson Originals Cheddar Cheese into slices.


Layer once slide of D&W Turkey, folded in half, and two D&W Cheese pieces


Onto the cucumber. Roll cucumber and place toothpick in the middle to hold


The roll up together. Once prepared, served with Ranch Veggie Dip for extra flavor.





Turkey Avocado Crostini


Ingredients:


lb. of Dietz & Watson originals Organic Turkey Breast


1 bottle of Dietz & Watson Chipotle Mustard


1 fresh baguette


1 avocado, sliced


Olive oil


Salt & pepper



Instructions


Preheat oven to 350. Cut baguette into slices. Lightly brush


olive oil on both sides of each baguette slice. Bake for 8


minutes, or until light golden brown. Remove from oven and


let cool. Slice avocado into small pieces. Cut Dietz & Watson


Originals Organic Turkey slices into 1 inch strips. Coat one


side of each crostini with Dietz & Watson Chipotle Mayo. Top


with one strip of Dietz & Watson Originals Organic Turkey and


avocado. Add salt and pepper to taste.
