HOMEWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Get ready for a magical night of music and fun at the Holiday Lights in Homewood December 2, 2016. The evening features a tree lighting ceremony, live reindeer, antique cars, and even Santa Claus! There will also be free musical trolleys to shuttle shoppers through downtown Homewood.
The Homewood Science Center (http://www.HomewoodScienceCenter.org) presents a deSTEMber activity from 6 to 9 p.m at 18022 Dixie Hwy. Participants of all ages can explore the principles of light with hands-on activities created by Schneider Electric along with SouthWorks Makers Lab. In addition, visitors can create a snowflake for an illuminated community art installation. Village of Homewood Community Marketing & Events Director, Zach Thomas, and the Executive Director of the Homewood Science Center, Edie Dobrez, brought some of the illuminated snowflakes to the ABC 7 State Street Studios to show off some of the fun at the Holiday Lights in Homewood.
