Hunger Resource Network gives back
More than 100 Chicago-area food pantries, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens are preparing for an influx of food.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- More than 100 Chicago-area food pantries, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens are preparing for an influx of food, all thanks to the Hunger Resource Network, Underwriters Laboratories, and Feed6. Together with over 340 community volunteers, the groups are preparing and distributing 50,000 meals and 126,000 pounds of chicken for needy families on November 12, 2016.

The community outreach day is the 8th sponsored by Hunger Resource Network, and the first in collaboration with UL and Feed6. Founder and President of Hunger Resource Network, Dan Jariabka, and John Drengenberg, the Consumer Safety Director at UL joined ABC 7 live from the community outreach event.
