GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (WLS) -- A west suburban convenience store sold a winning lottery ticket worth more than $16 million in Thursday night's drawing.

Illinois Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store located at 3S035 Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.

The ticket matched all six numbers - 16 -24 - 28 - 33 - 48 - 50 - to win a $16,750,000 jackpot prize in the Thursday, August 4 drawing.

The retailer will receive a bonus of $167,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.

Lottery officials urge the winner to immediately sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they can visit an Illinois Lottery prize center.

Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.
