LOMBARD, Ill. (WLS) -- John White, of Westmont, is now charged with a hate crime in connection with vandalism at a DuPage County synagogue, police said.

White, 40, is accused of smashing windows and writing anti-Semitic graffiti on the wall of Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard.
