Better Government Association: Laquan McDonald video release

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Better Government Association lawyer Matt Topic, whose private practice included representation of the journalist who successfully sued for the release of the Laquan McDonald video, discusses that case and other transparency issues.

This includes BGA's multiple lawsuits against the Chicago Police Department for refusing to provide documents that BGA thinks it's entitled to under FOIA. This stonewalling goes far beyond CPD and, in fact, has reached epidemic proportions in Chicago and other government around Illinois.

Topic also discusses any of the other accountability questions raised by the McDonald case, since there are still many unanswered questions and unresolved issues, even after the Van Dyke indictment and the release of the video.
