CHICAGO (WLS) -- On Newsviews this week we're taking a closer look at issues impacting Chicago's Latino community. It is Latino Heritage Month and at forefront of fighting for the growing community is the Latino Policy Forum.

Late last week the group was in Springfield lobbying lawmakers as they review budget cuts proposed by Gov. Bruce Rauner. They say many of those cuts will impact a lot of low-income Latino families and students.

Joining us this week is Martin Torres, senior policy analyst of the Latino Policy Forum, and Cesareo Moreno, chief curator of the National Museum of Mexican Art.
