Police warn Lawndale residents about robberies

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning people in the Lawndale neighborhood about a string of robberies that happened in broad daylight.

Police said two men walked up to someone and demanded they hand over their valuables.

The first robbery happened two weeks ago near 19th and Kedzie. A robbery occurred again in the same block a week later.

The most recent happened last Thursday near Roosevelt and Troy.
