Car hits 2 trees, loses engine in crash on EB Lincoln Highway near Indiana Street

PARK FOREST, Ill. (WLS) -- A car traveling east on U.S. 30 spun out, hit two trees and lost its engine near Indiana Street in south suburban Park Forest.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 2 a.m. Friday. The driver was taken to Franciscan St. James Health in Olympia Fields. His condition has not been released.

Police closed eastbound Lincoln Highway (U.S. 30) from Indiana to Orchard for several hours as they investigated the crash. The closure was lifted around 7:30 a.m. Friday.
