CHICAGO (WLS) -- A fire broke out early Friday in a two-story apartment displacing 11 people, including some children, in the Logan Square neighborhood on the city's North Side, fire officials said.

Just before 6 a.m., the fire started in the rear of a building in the 3800-block of West Schubert Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Two people were rescued from the second floor. One man, who was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation, refused transport. A 25-year-old woman was taken to Swedish Memorial in good condition for smoke inhalation.

No word on a cause yet.
