One of the summer's most delicious events is coming back to historic downtown Long Grove.

LONG GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- One of the summer's most delicious events is coming back to historic downtown Long Grove. The Strawberry Fest is back after a one year hiatus. It runs June 23-25, 2017 in the Chicago suburb. The Long Grove Strawberry Fest features music, kids activities, a pie eating contest, and all the strawberries you can swallow. Some of the fest's unique strawberry-centric food and beverage items include: strawberry beer, strawberry wine, chocolate strawberry popcorn, strawberry kabobs, strawberry jams, strawberry fudge and much more. Tickets are just $5 per person, but kids 12 and under get in free. Proceeds from the Long Grove Strawberry Fest benefit the "Save the Bridge" campaign. Dave Gayton from the Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association visited the ABC 7 State Street Studios, along with a few pie-eating competitors, to give us a taste of the festival.
