CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 5-year-old boy is ready for his close-up as his own movie premieres in Chicago- and he's in the starring role.

"Madzilla" stars Maddex, 5, as the 80-foot lizard terrorizing Chicago. Filming was done last month in the Loop.

The project came about through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Maddex has leukemia, but his dad says it hasn't slowed down his imagination.

"The good news is, it's like two-and-a-half years of treatment, well, right smack in the middle was this 'Madzilla,' and it's something we'll have forever, and he is just so passionate about it," said Tony Moskowitz, Maddex's dad.

Also in attendance at the Thursday night premiere was "Godzilla 2014" director Garth Edwards.
