Man critically injured in Loop stabbing

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said a man in his mid- to late-20s was stabbed in the Loop Friday evening.

Police said the man was stabbed in the 100-block of West Jackson Boulevard around 8:40 p.m. Fire officials said that he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious to critical condition.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
