Pedestrian fatally struck by Metra near Cicero

CICERO, Ill. (WLS) -- A pedestrian was fatally struck by an express Metra train near Cicero Friday evening.

Metra BNSF trains were stopped in both directions after the incident around 6:30 p.m. Trains began moving again around 7:15 p.m., with delays ranging from one to two hours.

Delays were resolved overnight.
