MILWAUKEE (WLS) -- Milwaukee police officers risked their lives rescuing two teenagers from a burning car.
The officers had tried to stop the car for traffic violations, but the driver refused to pull over. A short time later the driver lost control. The car hit a utility pole and burst into flames.
The 16-year-old driver and a passenger were trapped inside.
The driver will be cited for failure to yield and reckless driving. The two officers will be nominated for a merit award.
