Near North Side gas leak shuts down Inner Lake Shore Drive

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago fire officials responded to the scene of a gas leak in a building on the city's Near North Side Monday morning.

Fire officials said the leak was contained to one building in the 900-block of North Lake Shore Drive shortly before 11:30 a.m. They said repairs were underway at that time.

Inner Lake Shore Drive was closed in both directions. It was not immediately known how long the road would be closed.

No injuries were immediately reported.
