1 dead in Chatham parking lot shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 21-year old man was shot dead in the parking lot of a shopping center in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood, authorities say.

The shooting happened just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday near East 87th Street and Cottage Grove.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old McArthur Swindle.

Police have not released details surrounding the shooting.
