CHICAGO (WLS) -- A two-story home caught fire on Thursday morning in the Kenwood area just a couple houses away from where crews were filming a TV show. A medic and firefighter at the TV set smelled smoke, called 9-1-1 and helped the family out of the burning home.

Chicago Fire Department officials said the building at 48th and Kimbark in the Kenwood neighborhood was in the process of being rehabbed when the attic caught fire. It was built in the late 1800s.

Officials said a contractor was stripping paint when a heat gun caused the fire.

No one was injured.
