CHICAGO (WLS) -- A city-wide event featuring contemporary architecture kicked off Saturday at the Chicago Cultural Center.
The event showcases venues across the city, including the newly renovated Stoney Island Arts Bank which opens on the city's South Side next week.
Architects, designers and artists from around the world are showcasing their projects and ideas for the city.
The Chicago Architecture Biennial event runs through January 3, 2016, at different sites across the city.
