CHICAGO (WLS) -- The line to take photos with the Stanley Cup at Millennium Park snaked around the auditorium at Jay Pritzker Pavilion Wednesday morning.

Hockey fans started lining up early to get a chance to snap their own pictures with the Cup, which was placed on the stage. Many people wore Chicago Blackhawks jerseys.

The public viewing started at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 1 p.m. The Cup will travel to the Field Museum next.

Visitors will be able to have their photos taken with the Cup from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday for the cost of general admission.

Pictures with the Cup are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The photos will be available free in a password-protected online gallery by October 16.

In order to make sure as many fans as possible get a chance to see the Cup, only the professional photographer provided by The Field Museum will be permitted to take posed photos.
