GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A woman was shot in the head while driving in Gary, Indiana, police said.
Police received a call around 7:20 p.m. Saturday about a woman who had been shot.
Officers found the woman with a gunshot wound to the head inside a near 25th Avenue and Taft Street. She was conscious and able to speak with police.
Investigators said someone fired a shot through the woman's rear driver-side window. The bullet struck her after going through the head rest.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.
