Body pulled from Aurora retention pond

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- The body of a man was pulled from a retention bond Tuesday evening in suburban Aurora, officials confirm.

Aurora police and fire departments responded to the pond, located at Tara Belle Pkwy and Normantown Road, shortly before 5 p.m. after receiving a call that a car had gone into the water.

About an hour and a half later, the fire department's dive team pulled the dead body out from about 35 yards from shore.
