Man robbed 2 Logan Square stores with butcher knife, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning Logan Square residents of a series of reported armed robberies in the area.

Police say a man armed with a butcher knife robbed at least two stores in the last two weeks. Incidents were reported in the following locations:

  • 3100-block of W. Armitage around 7:52 p.m. on Oct. 27
  • 3200-block of W. Diversey around 11:05 p.m. on Oct. 28

The alleged offender is described as a white or Hispanic man around 5-foot-5 weighing between 130-150 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a beige cow spot jacket, gray hoodie, gray sweatpants and a black ski mask covering his head.
