Police warn of robberies in West Town

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning residents of the city's West Town neighborhood about a series of recent robberies reported in the area.

In all of the incidents, police say two offenders allegedly approached victims and robbed them by either knocking them down or implying that they had a gun. Incidents were reported at the following locations:

  • 600-block of North Ashland around 1 a.m. on Nov. 3
  • 800-block of North Paulina around 6 p.m. on Nov. 5
  • 2700-block of W. Washington around 7 p.m. on Nov. 5

The alleged offenders are described as two African American men between 17 and 20-years-old weighing between 145-155 pounds. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Chicago police at 312-747-8382.
