U.S. Postal trucks targeted by robbers in Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- U.S. postal trucks are being targeted by robbers on Chicago's North and South sides.

The thieves get into the delivery vans by punching or prying open the locks.

The robbers have hit six postal trucks, mostly in the afternoon. Police are looking for possibly three different men and a woman.

The thefts started in late September. The latest break-in was Monday.

Here's a list of where the incidents occurred:

-4700 block of Hermitage on Nov. 23 around 2:15 p.m.

-2100 block of W. Balmoral on Nov. 19 around 2 p.m.

-500 block of W. Wisconsin on Nov. 18 between 11:50 a.m. and 2 p.m.

-2300 block of W. Byron on Nov. 18 between 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.

-1900 block of S. May on Sept. 23 around 9:30 a.m.

-1600 block of N. Oakley on Sept. 21 between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
