CHICAGO (WLS) -- United Airlines partnered with Advocate Children's Hospital to give some Chicago area children a fantasy flight for the holidays.

Many of the children are living with cancer and other serious illnesses.

The group departed O'Hare International Airport for a short flight and returned to a gate decorated like the North Pole, where they received toys from Santa Claus.

Some employees of United Airlines purchased toys based on wish lists those kids presented to the hospital.
