16-year-old boy shot in Woodlawn

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head and shoulder Saturday afternoon while traveling in a vehicle in the Woodlawn neighborhood, police said.

The shooting happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the 6300-block of South Stony Island Avenue, police said. The shooter was in a vehicle that pulled up next to the victim's vehicle.

The boy was driven to the University of Chicago where he's in critical condition.
