Northwest Indiana is expected to get between one and three inches of lake-effect snow starting Sunday night through early Monday.

The hardest hit will be Lake and Porter counties, according to ABC7 Meteorologist Cheryl Scott. Inland locations will get less than an inch.

In the mid to late morning, the winds are expected to change directions westward, and deliver lake-effect snow to the Chicago area.

The heaviest snowfall is expected to start after the morning commute.

Monday's high is expected to reach 29, and a low of 18.
