Chicago area attorney takes on Steven Avery case

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago area attorney is taking on the case featured in the hit Netflix program "Making a Murderer."

Kathleen Zellner says she's looking forward to clearing Steven Avery's name. Avery and his nephew are serving time for a 2005 murder.

Some have urged President Obama to pardon the two. The White House says he can't do that because they were convicted of state, not federal, crimes.
