Woman, 74, dies after being struck by truck in Gold Coast

A 74-year old woman died Tuesday evening after she was struck by a truck in the Gold Coast neighborhood.

The incident happened at about 4 p.m. in the 100-block of West Division, police said.

The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she died a short time later.

The truck driver was issued citations.

Police are investigating.
