CHICAGO (WLS) -- Illinois U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is meeting with refugees from Syria and Iraq, ahead of a senate vote on a refugee bill Wednesday.
Durbin met with the refugees who now call the Chicago-area home.
The bill in the senate would block Syrian and Iraqi refugees from entering the United States.
Durbin organized the meeting at his Chicago office today, to give the refugees a chance to share their stories.
The House already passed the refugee bill.
