Liquor store owner fires at armed robbers

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are reviewing surveillance video after armed robbers hit a liquor store in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood.

Police say the robbery occurred around 11:50 p.m. at the Valu Most Liquors in the 3200-block of North Milwaukee Ave. The store's owner shot at the offenders as they ran away but police say they aren't sure if anyone was hit.

Police say the robbers took money and liquor, but it's unclear how much was taken. Area North detectives are investigating.
