Chicago-bound flight diverted to Iowa after odor report

WATERLOO, Iowa (WLS) -- A Chicago-bound American Airlines flight was diverted to Waterloo, Iowa, after a report of an odor on the plane.

Flight 3047, with 26 passengers and three crew onboard, was headed from Sioux Falls to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. American Airlines says an odor was reported in the cabin.

The aircraft landed without incident and taxied to the gate. A new aircraft was sent from ORD to transport the passengers from Waterloo to ORD.
