CHICAGO -- A driver was arrested after a vehicle crashed into a police car during a traffic stop in the Loop Saturday morning.
Officers were attempting to conduct a traffic stop at State and Randolph at 7:26 a.m. when the vehicle they were trying to stop crashed into the police vehicle and then a planter, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.
The driver was taken into custody and transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for evaluation, police said. The officers were not injured in the crash.
